Our Vision

Sowing the Seeds of Sustainable Energy Development from “Okinawa” to the World
The Okinawa Electric Power Group has been promoting the introduction of solar and wind power generation to address global warming and reduce costs on remote islands. As the introduction of these renewable energies expands, however, the volatile nature of these energies affects the stability of the power system in terms of frequency and voltage. To address this issue, we have long been engaged in the development of technologies tailored to the challenges of island regions, including the grid stabilization technologies using storage batteries and motor generators “MG sets”.
Based on the technology and experience accumulated through these efforts, SeED Okinawa will pursue to offer better products and high value-added services to our customers. Furthermore, we will contribute to the development of sustainable societies in countries and regions around the world through our global business activities centered on Asia and the Pacific.
Message from the CEO

SeED Okinawa LLC was jointly established in April 2021 by six group companies for the purpose of promoting overseas business development by leveraging the strengths of the Okinawa Electric Power Group.
The name “SeED” is derived from “Sustainable Energy Development,” and the company’s mission is to “sow the seeds of sustainable energy development” from Okinawa to the world. Since its establishment, the company has been developing its business in various countries and regions.
In the island region of Okinawa, the Okinawa Electric Power Group began its effort in the 1980s to introduce renewable energy to small-scale independent power grids on remote islands and to develop technologies for grid stabilization, and has promoted these efforts until today.
We have many engineers with world-class technology, broad knowledge and extensive on-site experiences in this field, and we are constantly striving to improve ourselves as professionals and to further enhance our technical capabilities through taking on new challenges.
As social demands for global warming countermeasures increase worldwide, we will do our best to provide solutions to create a sustainable society and a better future by sincerely addressing energy-related issues together with our customers.
